I want you to ask yourself something…
What’s your dream?
Do you actually believe you can get it?
Here’s the reality: You cannot be given something you don’t even believe is possible.
So I’m going to ask you again: Do you believe in the things you dream about – or do you just hope for it?
The universe cannot give you something you yourself don’t believe you can have. And yes, you have to actually ask for it! If you aren’t putting it out in the world, how are you supposed to get it?
Here’s a real example of this practice that I went through recently:
Not too long ago, I was sitting in my apartment in Georgia. I realized something: I am done living in an apartment. I said it outloud with confidence that the opportunity to move into a home would happen soon. LJ and I were dating long-distance and ended up going to Charleston, South Carolina, on a trip. While there, we found our dream neighborhood where we could build our dream house. Long story short, within a month, I ended up moving from Atlanta to Virginia to live in LJ’s house until we build our house in Charleston. Now I’m living in this beautiful home with the love of my life. This wasn’t exactly on my radar when I had that realization months ago but this effortlessly flowed.
Why don’t we order what we actually want? We have got to stop playing small and going for what we actually want.
Do you believe in what you want? And are you actually asking for it?
If you’re struggling to find what you really want out of life right now, try the following exercise. Write down: If I weren’t afraid, I would [fill in the blank].
What would you ask for? What would you do? Believe you can do it and ask the universe to deliver the steps for you to receive.
